With a total of 19 medalists coming from the World Championships in Budapest, the inaugural Wanda Diamond League Xiamen will have a star packed startlist. Counting 8 gold medalists, 3 silver medalists and 8 bronze medalists.

Beijing 02.08.2023 - Xiamen will make its debut on athletics’ premier one-day meeting series in 2023, after agreeing a deal to host a Wanda Diamond League meeting for the next ten years.

In a press conference in Beijing 2nd of August, the Meeting Director of the Wanda Diamond League Xiamen, Rune Stenersen, announced some of the confirmed athletes for the first edition of the Xiamen Event.

Xiamen Olympic Sports Center - Egret Stadium
The Wanda Diamond League meeting will be held at the brand new, state of the art Xiamen Egret Stadium, a 1.2 billion dollar project which will further develop Xiamen as an elite international sporting hub.
Wanda Diamond League Xiamen will be staged 2nd of September 2023. Disciplines released for the first edition of the Meeting.

Revised Final 3 Format approved for horizontal jumps and throws in 2022 season
Following consultation with Athletes, Coaches, Broadcasters, Meeting Organisers and Athlete Representatives, the Wanda Diamond League General Assembly approved a revised Final 3 format at its meeting in Rome earlier this week.
